Selected Works

Zigi Ben Haim was born in 1945 in Iraq.
Zigi Ben-Haim’s paintings on aluminum are traces of culture and nature as seen through his diverse cultural experience. Using the grid scheme, he punctuates the composition by adding large plaques or cutouts with iconographic images that are infused with personal meaning. Four recurring motifs are the leaf, oval, brick and ant. The leaf represents nature, growth and recurrence, the oval suggests cycles, the brick relates to culture and the ant is the artisan.
Currently Zigi lives & Works in Israel and New York City.
